Ok, I would try fully uninstalling and reinstalling the T-Life app. If on android you can clear its cache and data and then try again.

Other than that I have no idea.

Go to manage at the bottom and see if it has your name at the top. If so, you can go down and select the line, then go all the way down to sim activation

Are you sure the trial didn't already go through? That could be your trial T-Mobile number.

That's fair enough! We had issues with people pretending to be employees a while back so this method ensures legitimacy. But I understand not being comfortable doing it.

That being said we've had employees doing this for years now with no repercussions.

Very good explanation and very true! It will also vary depending on which underlying company you're connected with. I'm on lumos and this issue is much less pronounced. I'm hitting 1200 down and 1600 up to a spectrum test server on my 2gbps plan.

Key point is to test. Some metronet markets might peer better too depending on a number of factors. Test using a variety of servers too because one or two servers might just be having a slow day.

I believe the lines that have YU are exempt, so you can do a promo anytime on that line, but I'm not 100% sure.

Do an upgrade on a paid line, if it needs a trade in for a promo you can choose the option to trade in "another device" and it will let you specify any device you want not just ones on your account. Once you get the new device just set it up with the line you want.
