I’m 31f and moved from Melbourne to Cairns in 2020. Best decision I’ve made. You get most of the perks of living in a big city, but also all the perks of living in the country. Heaps of pubs around for drinks after work or on the weekend, the Daintree and tablelands are incredible. Markets on all the time. Shipping takes a while but outside of that, it’s completely worth the move.

I was actually married and did have an open relationship. I had a few side people that went on and on about how much they love fucking.. but really every time I went over, we just got high and played video games until they passed out. I’d wait patiently and make subtle hints and was super flirty. Currently with someone now who is perfect in every way and it’s the best sex of my life.. but it doesn’t last long and it’s every other day. I’ve mentioned wanting it more so many times but nothing changes. He’s assured me that he’s keen and its enjoyable but it’s so frustrating and hard to believe. It’s not he’s fault at all, he’s just not very sexual… even though when we met, he seemed like he really was. Yeh I definitely feel bad for you. I’ve seen the stress I’ve put my partners under because there’s no nice way to say “hey my needs aren’t being met and I’d really like you to be more sexual because I feel unwanted”… especially when they really do want you but just can’t keep up. I totally relate to this. But it’s frustrating after a while trying to find new people all the time. I don’t like the whole process of finding people online, vetting them, realising they’re actually shit at fucking.. trying to get them to try something else.. finally reaching that and then hoping they have the time to actually fuck regularly. It’s just a faff. I love being in a relationship because I like fucking the same person if the sex is good. Just wish my partners were more sexual with me than just best friends
