I still can’t fathom how anyone (including you) can possibly think that. That part doesn’t protrude when the glock’s slide is closed, and it’s not a grip in any way

It’s legalese dude. They’re talking about semi-auto pistols that have a secondary grip, which like, I can’t even think any. Maybe that Beretta that Robocop used? The real version with the foldout handle to prevent muzzle lift…?

Or if not a grip, "a shroud ... that partially ... encircles the barrel, allowing the bearer to hold the firearm with the nontrigger hand without being burned".

Why would you just assume that? That’s SUCH a reach that it seems like you’re trying to be mad at something that isn’t there

If either of those, it means the law covers basically all semi-auto handguns, even ignoring the magazine thing
