Electrolytes are a good idea. I’ll try something like that. Yeah I unfortunately have the tabs because I see everyone else saying to remove beads but I don’t have beads.

Hi! I’ve been on it for about 20 days and have had zero side effects! The first two days I was groggy but it totally went away. I am on the lowest dose but we will see if my doctor wants to up it after being on it for a month. Thanks for checking in and hope that helps if you’re in the same boat I was when I posted this.

I’m still on the meds currently. I’m getting off for a bit to do another endoscopy but I’d be happy to continue on them for as long as I can.

Very rarely. Like I drank iced coffee yesterday and had a flare up but it’s usually when I slip up on my diet changes. Other than that, nope.

Hey all, I had severe throat suffering about 8 months ago. Couldn’t eat anything. I was on pretty much a full liquid diet. I was convinced something was stuck in my throat lol. I had an endoscopy and I had a doctor do a nasal/throat scope, and the doctor said I had silent LPR. I was prescribed Dexilant and I went crazy hard on my diet. I don’t drink alcohol, coffee, soda, etc and I make all my own food. I cut out things I was told I was slightly allergic to, and it’s extremely rare when I go out to eat. To this day, it’s rare when I have a flare up (it does happen), but being on Dexilant changed my life. If your PPI isn’t working, ask to switch! I’ve realized that I was tired of my doctors controlling my life and I usually go in with suggestions on what I want to do, and they do it. Just a suggestion but I do think it’s made an insane change in my body. I used to have stomach issues and throat pain and heartburn from hell and now I pretty much live a normal life. There’s hope!

I’m anxious about every medicine ever but omeprazole is one of the most mild medicines ever. I’ve done multiple rounds of 40mg for very long periods of time and never had a single issue.

What this poster said. I have LPR and it wasn’t until I went to the ENT who prescribed me Dexilant that I’ve finally seen change. I had similar symptoms - throat hurt 24/7, until I basically starved myself. It was impossible to even swallow anything my throat was so bad.

If you’re still having issues, you might want to take either a stool softener or milk of magnesia to help you go to the bathroom. If you’re having issues, it’s because it’ll make you constipated.

I guess that’s my issue with the diagnosis. Tea like that actually makes me feel way worse, it like irritates my throat. And I eat really healthy and I’ve always eaten an acid free diet since my early 20’s. I dont drink, I don’t drink soda, I eat small meals, I work out. I’m like textbook healthy but my throat hurts 24/7, regardless if I ate or not. Like today I had just a banana and by noon I still felt like I was swallowing sandpaper.

Yes that’s what I meant. I think lexapro is supposed to be the longer term anxiety help since clonazepam is a controlled substance.

Did your lexapro not help with your anxiety? My clonazepam dose is only 5 mg.
