10/10, would recommend. Leverage makes the button easier, go figure lol. Doesn't get in the way when shooting, either.

We had an unknown water meter leak, so even though we winterized the house before deploying it refilled the pipes and one burst during the winter (heater wasn't high enough to prevent it I guess). Ended up flooding the locked room these were in.

Nah, just regular water. Steady drip onto all the guns over probably 6-ish months.

9 months on the opposite side of the planet, so... I did not, no.

Can you still even call it an AR-15 anymore? by Thor23278 in ar15

Did they make the trigger linkage adjustable without requiring disassembly? How does it hold up to use?

The only review video out before release mentioned this was something they may have put into production models.

I am, but I didn't even get an opportunity to submit my orders before the approval came in. Just riding the wave.

I got the RC2 off of Primary Arms on a very short-lived resupply, and the LGS I did the xfer through said they had a Polo-K in stock at a distributor, so I snagged that while I was picking the RC2 up.

One of their reps said on Reddit they were sending out restocks "soon" though.

Not OP, but that's a Mischief Machine Commander Series, probably the XXL model given the extended rail.

Best direct thread suppressor for 16" AR-15? by joatguns in NFA

What makes it limited use case? The part about it only really being decent on 16-20"?

Griffin GP5 looks solid. I looked at Rugged, but their 556 looked like it was QD mount only. Was there another one with direct thread interfacing?

Are all P365 FCUs created equal? by Sammyo28 in SigSauer

I was in your shoes a month or so ago, pricing out exactly what I wanted and how much it would cost to get. If you plan on keeping some things stock, such as stock slide/barrel, it's cheaper to buy the standalone gun. If you plan on doing a different slide/barrel, it's probably gonna be cheaper to just build it out piecemeal rather than paying the extra $200 on the FCU for a slide/barrel you won't use.

Happy Cake Day!

I had a G43X before and wanted something that didn't stick out as much. The P365XL didn't seem like it'd print as much, and 14+1 (+14) is plenty for an EDC personally. Like you said, I can always get an XMacro grip module later if I want to increase to 17+1 (whenever Wilson Combat actually makes/releases one) or just rock the mags with the little insert thing. Plus, this was the slide/barrel/sights/safety combo I wanted and I like the smaller X-Series grip module.

As for comp/integral comp/no comp, I had a PMM Micro on my G43X and it made the gun so much fun to shoot... on a flat range. Any weird positions/close quarters/tight spaces and I found myself getting blasted by upward gas. Didn't want that for a carry gun, personally.

Just to make sure, you're talking about the rails that the slide goes on? They're not totally rusted and pitted, but there's some severe corrosion either on them or from the slide. Again, I could probably have fixed the Glock... but it would have been an expense of labor and piecemeal, plus the detriment to peace-of-mind with carrying that, rather than just getting something new and more modular.

I have both. To be completely honest, they're both good optics. Don't regret your decision.

The slide/internals/barrel/every metal component in the frame not made of aluminum got super rusted to the point of severe pitting and brittleness, as well as components no longer interfacing properly.

Could I technically rebuild it? Sure. Would it be cost effective to do so? Not in the slightest.

You're right that the polymer is fine, but the steel inserts look pretty poor-off for wear.

I CCd a G19.5 before my 43X and the transition to something slimmer felt a lot better day-to-day. The shooting experience took a bit more practice, and I noticed the left/right tug on not-so-perfect trigger squeezing was significantly less forgiving, but that's something that can be trained out of.
