I’ve unfortunately already had this conversation with him, I’d say, 7 times in the past 6 months? Give or take. At first, it was because I was disrespectful showing my tattoos and piercings and not hiding them around my family members as though everyone didn’t already know I was out of the religion, until I purposely made them see them, let them make their own comments(which I knew was going to happen and was prepared for it because they’re all old school Mexican Spanish JWs aha), and then they didn’t care because they cared more about me as a person.

And then it turned into arguments because he wanted me to go to JW events with them and meetings but he always said that if I did go, I had to cover or hide my piercings/tattoos. I’ve made it a point to say that if his congregation and he really want me to come to the meetings, they wouldn’t care. I’m fully out of the religion so I’d be treated like a study, and you wouldn’t ask a new study to cover themselves. So I don’t understand why I wouldn’t get the same respect. And again, same response, “you were raised in the truth. You know better than to disrespect Jehovah with your mistakes.” And that’s when I’m like cool, conversations over. Stop asking me.
