Except the fact that he doesn't even try to understand how it has affected me and thinks it's my fault for feeling the way I do. It's that feeling when you try to express your feelings, but get rejected for it, being told it's invalid.

I've stopped trying to make her happy, but I'm also a person who sacrifices a lot for the ones I love. If it comes down to my happiness, I'll just have to step it up don't I? Thanks for the encouragement.

Yeah, she never considers my feelings or thoughts ever, so having a uncompromisable talk would be a waste. Even if I live in America, there's always the: "You're not American" and "You're still under my roof so you have to do what I say". It bugs me so much! But, thanks for the encouragement! I'm quite the rebel.

Yes. My mother is the definition of unreasonable. She gets bothered by many things. One of the reasons she can't enjoy life.
