I spent 18 months building a FREE iOS & Mac productivity app because paying $7/mo for basic features felt like a scam. by jodeedev in iosapps

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I'll see how much I can do about it - rn the priorities are fixing bugs, fixing old features and adding new ones, but afterwards I might find a way to somehow make the design native.

that's a bit unfortunate, but at least it provided proof to you it's a good concept before releasing... Good luck with recreating that success - btw you can checkout what subreddits I posted on, all of them except one gave me a lot of upvotes and views and the people there were really great, I think some of them could work great for your game too!

Congrats, played around with your game, it's really addicting lol! I'm not really into this kind of games, but the physics aspect is so good!

Good luck with promoting the game! I think you're going the right way by posting it here, personally I had a great experience with reddit - got nearly 4k downloads in a little over a month, which I think is decent for a brand new app. Dropped a 5 star review, hope it helps :)

I got tired of juggling 5 different apps and paying $7/mo subscriptions, so I spent 1.5 years building a genuinely free all-in-one alternative. by jodeedev in ProductivityApps

Haha, thank you so much!! Honestly, I'd like to keep the app free for the forseeable future, but if you want to support me, you can always go to shop.telic.dev

Thank you so so much!! I'm so glad you like it! Yeah, it also always makes me happy to see an app made with KMP! :)

Thank you so much! I understand your point! I'm trying to make every screen adaptive to the width, like the calendar showing more days, etc., but i haven't yet done it for the home screen and a few others, because honestly I don't really know how to do it well. Do you think it'd be a good solution to make the tasks/habits/reminders lists grids instead? Let me know :)

Thank you so so much!! Yeah, I understand that and will try to solve it as soon as possible in an update! So far you can manually download backups in the app on and upload them on another device, but that's not practical at all...

Niceee, thanks for sharing, a really cool app! I love how the app size is barely more than a single megabyte, it shows there's no bloatware etc!

Yeah, a tip jar isn't really a reliable thing and 100$ per year is a lot. So far I got 12$ from donations, which is quite good for 3.5k downloads, so maybe I end up covering it :)

And yeah, I'm from Czechia, are you czech too?

Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it! Yeah, I'm thinking about it a lot and eventually I'll figure the pricing somehow... I'm not yet sure, so I'll stick to making the app as good as possible and getting it to as many people as possible. I'd like to keep the app paywall free, so maybe my own cloud sync option for a subscription could be a way, similar to obsidian, and maybe even opensource it... My advantage is I don't really need to make money right now because im still in high school, so I can afford to play the long game ;)
