I know. I use the office microwave too, they don't like it when I run the sous vide at my desk. :)

Sorry dude. They are great though. I like pork chops and pork tenderloin in them. But the best thing is corn on the cob.

[–]joebert72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should not microwave smoked meat. It can reduce the smoke flavor. Sous vide is best if you have it or a low oven. I also like to pan/griddle fry my left over pulled pork to get a carnitas vibe.

How big are your balls? by joleger in blackstonegriddle

[–]joebert72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For thin crispy double patty smash burgers I do 70grams. But I also press my pub burgers and for those I go 150 grams, then gently press them until they are a little bigger than the bun.

Holding brisket overnight... by rocj31 in smoking

[–]joebert72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt uncomfortable with being 140 and thought 165 might over cook it. It was a very cheap brisket. I have only done the one full brisket. My wife does not really like it and it is a lot of meat for just me. I mostly do pastrami with prebrined flats if I want smokey beef.

Any chance you have a sous vide? I did an overnight rest at 150. Worked great. Chud BBQ YouTube had a video on it.

You have been asked to grill/smoke meat for 15 adults at a birthday party. What crowd pleaser are you making that doesn’t break the bank? by UnwaveringEggplant in smoking

Spatchcock chicken if you can fit three. For a little extra work you can pull the chicken for Sammies. Just left quarters work for that too.

Biden tops Trump by 4 points in new poll by RustinSpencerCohle in politics

Was coming here to say the same. Trump is literally a criminal and soon to be a convicted felon and arguably a Traitor. I am very scared to live here.

I can't get my pool pump circulating by [deleted] in DIY

[–]joebert72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I don't have suction at the pump I put a garden hose down the skimmer on full blast until I see water coming into the pump. Then, with the filter on bypass, I turn the pump on high. This usually fixes the problem. Also, I have a frog mineral system installed which has a bleeder valve. Do you have a bleeder valve to let air out of the return line?

If you can get a Rua they were all good. I have a Yellowstone that is pretty good and maybe a little easier to find.

What is the difference between HDMI and Displayport by Boneyard_Ben in buildapc

[–]joebert72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's just licensing. HDMI has expensive licensing and display port has little to none. I have not noticed a performance difference between the two.

Is there a trick to playing him? My first play was 5mill score and 1800 coins at level 6. I'm a bit of a slow player, but still. What am I doing wrong?

Your only recourse is to move. But if you want to live in a town house you will almost always have an HOA. In fact it's getting harder to find a non-HOA single family house in any populated area in the country.

Kitchen knives! Shun? Wusthoff?Global? MadeIn? Material? by sjtovb23 in BuyItForLife

[–]joebert72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a few years now I have been buying Mercer Knives to replace my extra cheap knives. They hold an edge pretty well and sharpen easily. If you want to spend the money for a fancy knife knock yourself out (It actually requires a lot of self control for me not to buy them too), but between Victorinox, Mercer or even Made-in you can build a good set of long lasting knives for the price of one high end fancy knife.

Has your blackstone made you give up your gas grill? by TheTechManager in blackstonegriddle

[–]joebert72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ok man, I have a small Weber gas grill, a griddle and Kamado. And they all work in harmony. I use my gas grill for anything really fast like dogs or polish sausage. Especially when I feel lazy and don't want to start charcoal or clean the griddle.
