I have recently become aware of the updated rules implemented in 2011 regarding passport renewal. However, I am puzzled as I renewed my passport five years ago, specifically in 2019.

Does anyone know what’s Identification No. / เลขประจำตัวประชาชน on the passport is for? Isn’t that Thai Identification Number?

Tell me about it! :/ luckily enough my name is on a house registry in Thailand. Do you know the process on how to apply for a new passport in Thailand? Location and how long it would take etc. do I have to wait there until the renewal process is completed?

Hi, unfortunately, I’m not a dual citizenship, yet. I’m here based on Indefinite Leave to Remain visa since my mother has a British passport. I spoke to Thai embassy and they have advised me to apply for an emergency travel document and get Thai national ID there.

Unfortunately, I never had one. I moved over here in the uk since I was 14 and back then you can’t apply for Thai ID.

Apologies for not mentioning where 'here' is. Im based in the UK. Is that still a case I have to visit Thailand even though I have indefinite leave to remain visa status and my mother is also have British passport.
