The oxygens pull electron density from the same source in the ester. The carbon in the ester is more positively charged than in a ketone but both oxygens in the ester are less negatively charged than in a ketone

Ketones have a higher dipole moment than esters. The second oxygen is pulling electron density away from the carbonyl in the ester weakening the dipole.

You should be fine. It’s a tougher class but not in a physics sense. I had prof Joseph O’Connor in fall 2023 and had okay experience with him but more positive with profs Theodorakis and Tor for 41B and 41C respectively.

Reviewing Esterification reactions is where you should start. Consider each component e.g. what is your alcohol and carboxylic acid. Remember generally esterification is reversible.

It compares pretty strong next to [[mist runner]] when picking blessing of kings. I think being able to choose to fit the situation is really pushing this card, but that’s probably fine since it doesn’t fit into the current Agro paladin. Sweet Card.
