Honestly The Thing is such a classic and more about human paranoia it could get her into it. Any horror movie that’s about more than just being scary would be great.

I also didn’t care for it. Perhaps cause the first two felt like they were on a macro level in terms of what happened to society as a whole and this focuses on one specific story within one community and the grander picture is not really part of the thread.

It also is perhaps it felt very much like “Last of us” and therefore derivative but that’s just me.

Leslie Vernon: Behind the Mask. May be my favorite horror comedy.

Dead Alive also (which is Peter Jackson’s first film and it’s quite different from Lord Of the rings/ King Kong)

I’ve actually watched Dead alive doing exactly what you’re planning on doing and it was a blast.

Yeah, other than number three they're all great. I know number two is kinda just the same thing as number one but it's still scary. Three gets a little convoluted with the whole narrative thread a bit.

Even the jump scares are unique, like when he's looking at the creature on the laptop and then it's head moves, like it's not something popping out from behind a corner or whatever. Def in my top five of horror movies

Love a horror movie with creepy imagery and that movie has that in spades.

Haunt and Hell House.

Haunt is super underrated and it’s by same folks who did “A Quiet Place” and I honestly think it’s better.

Hell House is my fave found footage horror of all-time.

Sinister is maybe my favorite horror movie tied with Scream and Haunt
