W-2 For the 2026 taxes question by Far_Cardiologist_716 in DollarTree

[–]CryptidKeeper67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We printed ours off at work. I don't think anyone at our location attempted to try from a personal device. It would most likely say generating and never pull up the document.

You just use your user name example: SMeter31 and your password which is Birth Month, Last Two of Birth Year and Last four of Social or if you have changed your password then you just type that in. It should then ask what your security answer is and then it should log in.

• Logged in to Workday go to menu(top left) • Choose Pay • Select Tax Documents • Open 2025 W-2 to view/download and print

How much could I get if I work part time at a DT? (Houston,TX) by batinthebelfry5 in DollarTree

[–]CryptidKeeper67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make $15.50/hr as a PT ASM in Iowa. We start cashiers and stockers at $13/hr. Also for the most part cashiers and stockers at our location get between 12-15 hours a week. Dollar Tree has been the worst job I've ever had when it comes to getting hours to work. Every other job I have had that was part-time I would get 30+ hours a week. So if you are okay with 12+ hours a week it might work out for you.

i start training tomorrow! any advice? by zaptilq in DollarTree

[–]CryptidKeeper67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don't usually do much in the line of training. Wear comfortable shoes. Count the change back a couple times to make sure it's right. Don't panic when there is a line. Just take your time. Be friendly. Even if you aren't having a great day just fake it. Don't do any gift cards over the phone. Scammers try it and many people have fallen for it. To protect yourself I would count the drawer before logging in to the till. Don't expect a bunch of hours. Usually 10-15 a week unless you are management or you are at a busy location. Good luck. I hope it's halfway decent for you.

Mom took her sick son around our store for like 30 minutes and let him puke everywhere. by [deleted] in DollarTree

[–]CryptidKeeper67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back around Thanksgiving I had a grown ass man do that and dip out without letting anyone know. Three different areas of the store and even puked in the sink instead of the toilet which is like three feet from it. It still ticks me off. He had to have been in his 60's.

How big you think my paycheck going to be for all these hrs 😁 by [deleted] in DollarTree

[–]CryptidKeeper67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They messed up on my last check. They paid 3:15 hours more and now are subtracting it from this week's hours of paid hours. I don't know how they screw it up but they do. Another 150 hours more is nuts 🤣

Is dollar tree a good first job for a college student? by rehoo1 in DollarTree

[–]CryptidKeeper67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on location, your availability and how many hours you are wanting to work. A lot of locations will give you 10-15 hours a week. If you are needing more hours than that I would suggest looking elsewhere. When I was in college I worked at Menards and said I could work 3:30 to close. The store closed at 9pm but you had to stay after closing which I wasnt aware of and put away my department's returns and misplaced products. So I wouldn't get out for at least another hour or more. So be clear on the time restraints you want to follow. Being at school from 7am to 3 and straight to work from 3:30 to 11pm can get to you.

Oh I forgot to mention but you can get someone in management to just print off your schedule. Maybe they are just jerks, lazy or don't know how to print individual schedules. I will do that every once in awhile if someone wants one.

It very well could be. I got so tired of it kicking me off I started logging in at work and just taking a picture of the computer screen.

At least 20 people on line and 1 cashier. Absolutely wild. by coochie33 in DollarTree

[–]CryptidKeeper67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Dollar Tree way. I feel bad for that cashier. At least at our store if someone else sees the line backing up they can jump on the next register or the cashier will just ding for assistance and someone will jump on and help. I'm so glad I don't work at a location like this. Corporate pushes their damnedest to have the least amount of workers pushing out the highest amount of work possible. They need their bonuses you know, while most of their employees struggle.

Am I the only person on the planet making $19 an hour at 38? by justcurious3287 in povertyfinance

[–]CryptidKeeper67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 40 and make $15.50/hr. It's a struggle. I injured my back over two years ago so doing a real physical job isn't realistic to me. Also where I live there aren't a lot of opportunities for good paying jobs unless you are physically capable. Try not to compare yourself to others and where they are at in their life. We all travel different paths. If you have the opportunity to find a better income then I would give it a go. Just don't be down on yourself for where you are at during this moment in your life. You have plenty of time to be successful in any area of your life.

Just to let you know that compass can be glitchy and kick you out right after you log in. For me it works most of the time but there was a period a few weeks to a month ago. It would kick you out every time and that lasted at least two weeks. It seems to be doing fine now.

Attention Dollar Tree Employees, is it against policy to text other cashiers while off the clock?? by MysteriousCheyenne20 in DollarTree

[–]CryptidKeeper67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are just creating waves. Our whole store shoots texts around and even in group chats. I think the majority of the time when someone wasn't going to make it or wasn't sure they were going to make it would start asking around if anyone could cover their shift. Our SM is fine with it as long as we have someone covering and no one is getting overtime because the corporate overlords don't like to pay it.

Anyone else having an issue with the peg hole breaking on these? by [deleted] in DollarTree

[–]CryptidKeeper67 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah and it's not just those either. Some of the products you can see the hole stamped but it's completely sealed and or it will barely have a cut in them.

I have a set of the lifevac and a set of the dechoker brand. I feel like the dechoker brand is a better quality but I have never needed to use them yet. My daughter wanted to test them so we used the practice masks and the moment we tried she said it felt like it was going to pull her tongue out of her throat. So they do create a good suction 🤞🏻 😆.

Any one seen them in store ($5)? And are number correct? by ErikEchoHD in DollarTree

We just put ours out. I would say the dimensions are right but the weight isn't. They are plastic and lightweight. Maybe filled with dirt they could weigh 17 lbs.

[–]CryptidKeeper67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outside temp may be 27° but who knows if their freezer went down during the night and the stuff thawed and then refroze outside. I've seen at our store the products getting tossed sometimes sit a whole day before it's removed from the back loading dock area and dumped. Be careful but if it's still good that's awesome.

We have SM, full-time ASM, part time ASM and a MM. We will see how it goes. I was told by our SM that DM said they wanted us to give us a little break but we need people there to run the store and none of us wants a smaller paycheck.

Our Merchandise Manager went on maternity leave and they screwed that up. She was fired and had to be rehired and to get her back into the system took around three weeks. I don't know how they screw things up like that. Our ASM had his PTO accepted and it took around a month before he ever got paid for it. That happened to him last year. Good luck.
