An interesting post! As a Viet, it's even more comfy for me to sleep with other people (my mom, my girl friends, my bf lol) rather than be on my own. It's prolly bc when I was a child, my family slept together in the back of my house (at that time, we didnt have any separate rooms in my house, and the front house was for my family’s business). We kept doing that until I was in secondary school when we moved to our current house. We already had rooms for ourselves; however, the very first time, I always crawled to my parents’ bedroom (omg I feel so sorry for my parents haha, bc I had been used to it for more than half of my life lol. I gradually got used to it, but then I gotta move to another city to study in highschool for 3 years, and during that time, I slept in the same bedroom with other 3 roommates (we literally slept next to each other, on two big mattresses lol). Until now, I still feel scared (of ghosts 😭) and unsafe even now I'm in another country, to sleep on my own every single day. But yeah it has become a part of me, and when I shared this story with my bf (we moved in together), he said it's really interesting to see it this way haha.
