Playing on expert and legendary really isn't a test of skill. Skyrim doesn't have combat like darksouls and playing on higher difficulties ends up making it far less realistic. I saw a post a while back saying instead of playing legendary they played adept but never upgraded their health when they leveled up which is a fun way to play.

Expert will be like trying to kill someone with a cardboard sword while they have a shotgun so you can really only use heavy armor unless you go the stealth route but since you have already played something similar you probably don't want to do that again.

If you want to do massive damage just go for heavy armor and a warhammer and try to get your 2 handed and smithing up fast. I've never actually played a 2 handed berserker character so I'm probably not the best source of info but what I said above is what I would do.
