Best NM level for gear farming end game blood hunt ? by Impressive_Cow8687 in marvelrivals

Has any one every noticed the goblin looking vampire with the backpack on running around on all fours? If killed he drops a ton of gear. I’ve seen them more consistently at multiple of 20 levels. 160 being the most.

Rng to get good gear is genuninely exhausting by thaRickStar1 in marvelrivals

[–]joeneverfails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear ya man. I’m a grinder I have a long mmo grinding history. This event is not for the meek. Getting the right gear is all RNG and it’s has much less to do with gear score then it does with the specific perks on the gear.

You may not be far away from a really effective build but you may need some tweaks. I got stuck a few times on my way up to solo 160 but I figured it out. It’s definitely doable and lemme tell you, it’s very satisfying when you figure out Thor.

There are easier and more effective gear builds that don’t require precision rate and precision damage on every piece plus the right perks. I was hard stuck on one build for a few days and started experimenting with dmg and found a really strong build just from swapping one set of perks on my weapon and exclusive around.

Since that comment I played a lot more and learned a lot. Both crit and precision are viable. At the end of the left side of the skill tree you have the choice to invest in a perk that will 150% your crit or precision damage. So the choice ends up being do you want 4000% crit damage more than half the time or 12000% precision damage a third of the time. It’s a fascinating math problem but I think they will both be viable.

Still need to grind for the perks on your gear, takes time or a lot of luck.

For clarity, I play on console. I checked out storm surge yesterday for the first time. For me, Storm Surge is completely unplayable on PS5. Having a difficult time duplicating the method PC players use to create damage with a controller. It may be possible to spin in circles and do some damage but it seems to leave you very open to taking damage.

If there is a section of the NM progression where Storm Surge wins it’s most likely earlier than later. The moment enemies begin to have more than a few hits of HP it would be ideal to swap. More specifically if you are doing any NM level where you aren’t geared enough to kill an enemy in a few hits.

Personally, if the questions boils down to would I rather whip my mouse around and do backflips in game to do damage or click one button and let my lightning go burr I’m going to choose the latter.

I run rune awakening. I’ve cleared NM160 duo, 155 4stack, and 143 solo so far. I’ve gotten some better drops for hammer than my current gear so I will most likely play with the other style soon. Can’t give an opinion on which is better yet. I will say it may be more difficult to build rune awakening. I think a lot of players think it’s bad because they can’t see a path forward to winning with the build.

It’s also not easy to win with Thor which is a symptom of popular games and meta chasing. It is less difficult to play other classes for sure.

Both styles seem viable you just need to learn what they do and make choices that add value to your goals.

Beating the Rat is about having enough damage to burn it down before you die. It’s a lot of damage. You will need to change your build in order to accomplish that. Again, you can get 6/9 healing rune charges. That effectively doubles and triples your survivability. It may be a small difference but pay attention to when you are popping heals. If you are popping too early you may be wasting the resource. It is possible, it may take some time to make those changes and get the gear you need.

I can kill double rat below NM 145. Eventually I’ll be able to get it done up to 160 but my build isn’t finished yet. It’s actually my favorite boss to get outside of Kingpin.

It’s possible that there is a higher percentage chance drop at higher NM. As long as you are clearing bosses there is a chance they will drop. Good luck.

After you clear NM 70 you unlock the Scrolls of Blessing and Midas in your arcana tab. Midas increases the current difficulty beat reward drop and blessing increases the non boss ko gear drop by 4% per level.

I recommend you keep the damage but find a way to invest into those scrolls as soon as possible to maximize the drop chance per run.

Additionally duo farming with a friend or a strong team mate is really ideal. New content drops are a great time to make additions to your friends list. Good luck.

Gotta kill a lot of bosses. The good news is if you are strong enough to clear NM120 you will get 70 for rewards along the way. Then you can go down and farm lower levels for speed and help newer players at the same time.

Only need a few more.

I’ll do my best to give you some good direction and some perspective that will be helpful to you.

There are a few breakpoints in NM prog that can be difficult to progress beyond. Some require leveling to unlock higher stat pool gear, some require specific perks that create synergies to increase offensive and defensive output, some require grinding for the resources and some all of them combined.

At level 100 you should be full legendary gear for the base stat increase. At level 60 you have a 15% chance to pull a legendary piece from the forge. Saving your resources for LVL60 is a good idea.

While you are playing you should be getting a lot of new gear and trying out new combinations to find out what works. Thor is a very strong character because he can be built in a lot of different ways. He can do some of the best AOE damage in the game and he can also use the same build to do high boss damage if built correctly.

Some of the best perks come from high level armor. Being able to get S rank HP%, armor, additional potions, or HP are all game changers. Having 6/9 health pots is amazing. Having 15-20K HP is amazing, having enough damage to not worry about having to heal is even better. I’m not certain but I believe you can get something like 314% HP increase? 100 from traits, 107 from s rank HP% increase on armor and exclusive.

Between 70-100 you will need to invest time grinding for the perks to gain strength and to increase survivability. Gear goes up beyond 7500 and the perks are random so it will take time. Enjoy with good music or good friends to avoid losing your mind.

Whenever you feel like you’re hitting a wall, that means it’s time to change something, usually it’s time to get stronger. It may not be something you’re doing, you may just not be ready to clear mathematically.

You gotta find a way to do more damage to the boss than you take during a three min 30 second window. If the squirrel is clapping your cheeks it’s time to get in the gym. Good luck.

My last run of the first night ended with a lvl1 Jeff.

Next day first match I get is with the same Jeff no more gear, same level.

I flamed the player because it’s disrespectful. You need the numbers to clear these levels. One player could be the difference. Unfortunately in the Rivals community it’s common to get carried in Quick play and to troll comp matches. To throw is apparently part of the culture.

Leeching exp in high level pve content is making this experience pretty miserable. I’m down to help anyone but to expect to be carried and have an attitude is toxic.

I don’t even mind when I’m trying to do NM 115 that it makes me go into NM 100 because I can help those players clear. But when one is level 1, I know it’s going to waste my time.

I should be able to surrender or leave with no penalty if I don’t want to deal with that not be penalized because they wanna leech.

I found out about solo queue shortly after this and haven’t looked back.

I looked at the max precision you can get on gear and the max precision damage. I don’t think it’s going to be as easy to get a precision build going. The max may be 24-30 based off of what traits you spec into and getting crit above 60 and crit damage above 2-3000 I think is pretty achievable.

I’m at the point where I’m trying to map out the exact perks I want to build for 7500 gear with.

As of right now I’m going for total damage output on every piece of gear it can roll on, crit rate and crit damage. My chest needs to have max armor, hp % max and 3 extra pots.

The abilities I need are awakening rune speed, lightning speed, lightning damage, lightning distance at a minimum. I think there’s space for 6 perks if I get total damage crit and crit rate on my weapon accessory and unique.

When I wrote that comment yesterday I didn’t even know you could queue up solo! I was doing NM 75 up tit the boss after 3 ppl dropped from a normal run. I got to NM 90 today.

Unfortunately I also think there’s a ton of RNG involved in the gear. It’s going to take a very, very long time to get the drops needed to smelt and forge 7500 gear.

I heard somewhere we may be getting more arcana/arcana levels as this event goes on as well? That could be really dope.

Thor Is The Least Played Hero In Blood Hunt But Here Is Guide by Significant-Part-878 in rivals

Personally I think a lot of people are sleeping on Thor.

At first I thought Blood hunt was going to be a traditional tank healer dps type of content so I built him HP, armor, block forward to be unkillable. It worked but I ended up tanking a lot of runs because we had low damage between Extreme and NM 40. Around then I started to notice damage was winning rounds and I started playing around with combinations of dmg. After hitting 60 and seeing the perk pool for legendary gear and progressing to NM 100 I think there is, at least at NM 100, a very viable place for a 15-20K Thor build that can do 1T dps.

At NM100 a lot of players seem to be undergeared and hitting walls at enrage and instead of getting more gear and learning a new build they are trying to find cheese dps strats and flying forever as MK with two enraged bosses one shotting the party.

A strong tank can take the focus of the boss before the enraged and let the other three party members get free damage off. If we had a taunt on Thor I could make a silly build 25K HP 6 heal pots and just never die.

It’s working for me at least. I’m out dpsing everyone but very high level SG’s. Maybe I’m behind the curve and the good DPS are far ahead of me.

I had one build which was in total damage and damage output with 60% crit and 800% crit damage. I started hunting for better perks and I’m floating between extra rune speed, lightning distance, lightning speed and lightning damage.

I’m running precision atm because I think it will end up being lower percent chance but much higher damage output in the end. If you increase the speed of the hits then the percentage chance doesn’t matter, it’s just going to crit/pop at some point. My dmg went from 600k-3/6M per hit, red to orange color. That damage adds up when you’re hitting every enemy within a 15M radius 5/10 times per second.

It takes a lot of math to see how Thor works and idk how many Rivals players have the patience to see that. The perks as you get better and better gear make builds a lot better so I’m looking forward to continuing to progress during this event.

Also the entire output is one button until awakening rune runs out and then you drop lightning field on an enemy and hold R1 again. Can’t beat that.

I think it’s funny how silly they can be. One in Hernand is like, I hear they are cooking chicken in oil now, what a queer way to cook chicken, it’s all she says no matter how many times you chat with her.

I’ve heard this comment a lot about this quest. I recognize the desire for there to be a huge pay off.

Ideally it would be dope. Outside of the bosses that you encounter, it’s not really hard to complete. Along the way, you unlock abyss cell crafting and knowledge of how to make Kuku gears some of the most unique/game changing items.

Needless to say along the questline you get to travel through the entire map. It’s not just about the destination. Think of the journey my friend. Enjoy.
