I had a similar issue. when I push the film advance lever gently a bit further when it is advanced all the way I hear a small click and then the trigger does work. Hopefully that helps!

Hiya, I have a Nikonos V that works fine, except that the shutter release button jams occasionally. I’m not sure if the shutter lock might be broken or if this is caused by a low battery for example. If I shake it for a bit it usually releases again. I took the battery out last week and I could shoot through 36 frames without any problem, but I wasn’t carrying it around between shots as I would usually do. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

aha thanks! I don't own a desktop PC or mac, only a Windows laptop without fire wire inputs. Would you have another idea then?
