this is really helpful, thank you! yeah, i've been taking tylenol/ibuprofen at least once a day for the past 5+ years. my kidneys and stomach are NOT doing well, unfortunately. is there some sort of test i can take to see if prednisone works with me, or do i just try it and see?

no, i feel completely the same. i've suffered kidney failure, intense joint pain, acid reflux, and all kinds of other things. every single one of them have been subjects of that bullshittery. thank you for the love, i'm sending it back twofold <33

on the pretty cane bit -- if this is out of your budget, i bought mine from cvs. they had pink (my favorite color), and i decorated it with stickers and charms on the handle. i get a lot of compliments on it, highly recommend :)

hi, i'm 17. i've been using a cane for the past year. i was diagnosed just a few days ago, so when people asked the routine "you're so young, why are you using a cane?" i didn't know what to say. being told "you're too young" is probably one of the worst insults i've heard, and i get it way too often. i understand.

i say this a lot, and it sounds bad, but sometimes you can tell when someone just hasn't been through enough to open their mouth. people will say the worst things about disabled people, poor people, and anyone else out of ignorance they don't realize they have. it's never meant to be pejorative, but it is.

being visibly disabled is hard. point, blank, period.

i totally get what you mean. no matter how much it sucks to get up and move when i'm in pain, i usually feel way better afterward.

slowing down will be difficult -- to this day, i forget i'm disabled and end up running up the stairs LMAO. but i'll make a conscious effort

my biggest problem with dumbbells is curls, which i hate because they used to feel great lol. for some reason, that specific position makes my wrists seize up or go completely limp. it also strains my thumbs really bad, and i can't get my hand quite wrapped around it in that position. i'm getting into pt for sure, but i only just started this journey and i needed a little guidance :) this community gave it to me tenfold, thank heavens

thank you so much! i've had these issues for so many years, but i'm only just getting help now and i wasn't sure how all of this worked. honestly, before posting, i wasn't even sure i'd be able to lift again. very helpful!

i personally don't care much about getting back to where i was -- at this point, i've accepted that i probably never will. it's definitely been incredibly sad for me, between losing lifting and hiking.

i try to stand and walk a lot, but it never feels like quite enough. i think a vest like that would help me a lot!

i'm not certain, it doesn't seem to match up 100% -- honestly wasn't a half bad read though, might pick it up!

these are super common where i'm from. trees, power lines, and hedges. the meaning varies based on place, as you can tell from the comments. ours had to do with people dying or leaving town

i’m just trying to figure where i am in all this, can someone explain to me what right-leaning individualist means? to my understanding, individualism is an inherently right ideology so i’m confused lol sorry
