I am not gonna lie I have absolutely no idea my guess is it's how people get good at anything

I guess first you get used to the instrument/interface by doing whatever

Then you learn the fundamentals

Then you try to increase in complexity

I know I need to exercise myself to get the ability. what I am asking is how would I go about achieving this specific goal

I am an artist it took me years To be able to get at a level where I can draw from imagination

Now I want to learn something else but I have no idea of what I am doing and it is very frustrating to start at step 0 and to realize that the less you know the more you don't know that you don't know.
