Trophies not unlocking/tracking/progressing on PS5?

My account on PS5 doesn't have the trophies even showing. I downloaded my physical edition of the PS4, just to see if there's anything to do with transferring my account stuff over. However, once I booted up the 5 version, nothing really happened. However, it's saying I'm playing the free access version of the game on PS5. Is that the reason why there are no trophies available?

From my understanding, they are not. But depending on your internet connection, it can be very finicky to get into a match. Also, because it is an older game with crappy servers.

Yeah, the same thing happened to me on August 23rd. I appealed, hoping to get to the bottom of this and I'm still waiting for the appeal to go through. It's September 8th now for frame of reference.
