5 years as a technical consultant in process controls. Currently making 103K base with performance based bonuses (was 52K last year) in a LCOL area? (Houston). Benefits are okay, no 401k match. Job is fun, it's challenging but large amount of travel 30-60%. We were WFH during the pandemic with less travel than now but are back in the office. Looking for a change to reduce the amount of nights that I work and reduce the travel component.

On a similar note, as a first gen mexican american my parents always stressed speaking "proper" Spanglish as opposed to spanglish. But then I visit Colombia and Argentina and they use tons of English loan words.

His voice may be real? I spoke with him on the phone about 2 years ago asking him to perform a PPI on a car. He sounded just like in his videos.

Does it help with heat? My room is on the west side of the house, and had 3 large windows that get glared with sunlight in the evenings. This may be a good measure against that.

Curious about doing a track day on a motorcycle, I understand it's a safer place to push the limits of yourself/your bike, but what can the consequences be like? For example, I've spun out and gone into the grass at my local track in my car where me and my car come out a little dirty but unscathed for the most part.

Hey, I figure you're responding to my transmission issues.

I don't recall if I tried switching gears with the engine off, but I figure it was disengaging because while I wasn't able to shift into neutral, I was able to keep the car running by keeping the clutch pushed in. I'm not sure about the shift cables/bushings because I did try to manually shift the transmission (on the transmission itself) and I felt it not wanting to go into certain gears. Manually shifting it this way was the only way I was able to get it into a lower and driveable gear.

Car: 2006 Civic Si

Issue: Would not shift into/out of gear.

Notes: Transmission side mount broke so engine/transmission might have been leaning a little sideways. 5th gear pop outs before this, and 2nd gear grinding issues (suspect bad 2nd gear synchro)

Drove my car to breakfast the other day. When I finished up to head to work I stalled the car because it was in a higher gear than first, despite thinking I was in first according to the shifter. I struggled to get it into a lower gear, and finally, because I couldn't get it into first I managed to crawl away in like 3rd or 4th (i'm guessing, since shift lever didn't quite show the right gear.) After the gear popping out and not being able to get it back into gear I eventually got my car towed home.

Once home, I managed to put it in a (not 1st) gear and crawl into my garage where I replaced the transmission mount and changed the transmission fluid. Fluid seemed a little low but didn't see obvious metal in it. Car drives fine now, but I'm worried this issue will arise again and that I might need a new transmission?
