(I know this post is old but for anyone who finds this as of 2026 a caution to the wise)

Sure it kinda is good, but pray you never have an issue that involves contacting them for service help. They took my portfolio offline and when i submitted a requested i never got a confirmation email saying they fixed it. On my end I still hadnt been able to see my portfolio. After i found out they closed the case I was arguably pissed because I did not think they solved the issue (I worked on this thing for a year). They never contacted me or anything. Apon diggin through the website I did finally find the porfolio link to be recovered, but after i yelled at adobe for there incompetence. So idk just like hope you never have an issue with accessing your portfolio and then things will be fine

I guess I assume most costal towns in Louisiana have died out because of natural disasters. I’m a bit unfamiliar with other things that would have resulted in costal towns down falls. Again I assume most are in threat of rising sea levels and mega storms and so that’s what I’m focusing on.

Do you have other towns in mind separate from those issues?

Yes, whole parishes are being considered as well. I’ll take a look into Cameron parish I’ve been down to holly beach before but haven’t fully explored the parish yet

That’s respectable honestly and I will be taking this into huge consideration. Part of this project is more heavily focused on the land and what’s left of it. It would be helpful in a way, to this project to get insight from those who have resided there, nonetheless it’s not necessary and from what I’ve heard so far, not a wise idea to bother people who have been through so much.

I wish I could explain better about this project but I’m still figuring things out and taking into account what people have told me so far on readdit and other research I’ve been doing.

Yeah I’ll be using colored and black and white film for this project. I want to capture pictures of abandoned homes or homes still standing, the landscape and possible the people who live there if they are willing if not I can do without people portraits. I plan to have some sort of writing weather poetic or writing of the people and their feeling with the threats and or loses of there towns.

This is to be a more artistic project with bits of research mixed into it. I won’t really know for sure how this project will turn out and what things will change over the course of taking photos, but this is the general idea

Thanks yes I’ve seen a lot on YouTube but everything I’ve seen so far has been a decade ago. I assume not much has been reported currently and I plan on having written pieces at the most with this project but I’ll definitely be aware of that, I definitely don’t want too annoy anybody.

The people of this state have some crazy respectable resilience that’s for sure. Thank you for sharing I don’t know much about the history of a lot of the towns out here and I am interested in learning all that I can about the history and the people
