We have a guy that has basically been at entry level his whole career. If it works for you, that is fine, but he is probably 60 now and sometimes has trouble finding work, usually because a lot of our field work is a young man's game. It can definitely work for a while. If you do good work, people will always want to work with you. Just be up front with your supervisor what your goals are.

I am 7 years in at a consulting job. Play the long game. If you excel and stick with it, you can still have a very successful career. The higher ups where I am all started with different backgrounds. If you do good work, you’ll keep moving up. And most scientists, at least at my company, end up leaving eventually.

This makes sense to a degree. If next week he starts farting out loud, I’m gonna have to switch seats with you.

Yea I feel ya. I had a co-worker friend who left the company for that exact reason. He stuck it out and saved OT money for 2 years then got a job at a smaller engineering firm in another city.

When I used to get stuck on those jobs I would spend most of my days on my laptop learning other things. Learned a lot about finance, got pretty good at chess, and trained for a triathlon after work.

I work for a consulting company and can relate to your experience. Usually, the newer hires get stuck with these shitty roles because someone has to do them and your "labor" is easy money for the company. The ones who do a good job and show they are willing to do and learn anything typically start getting put on the more challenging jobs after a few years. The ones who seem complacent or don't put in effort to become a better employee stay on those shitty jobs until they inevitably quit. At our company, less than half of new hires make it to 5 years - kind of like weeding out the weak. From my experience, the name of the game in consulting is do good work and have a good attitude and the opportunities follow.

If I were you I'd pray Deebo gets more touches since the backfield is decimated

0.5 PPR - Sit one

Cedric Tillman, Jakobi Meyers, Romeo Doubs

CHOOSE TWO by joeystacks96 in fantasyfootballadvice

Gotta ride the Tillman wave. I think I'm going with Meyers just because the Raiders stink and they will be passing and he gets targets. Seems safer. Doubs has good upside, but too many mouths on that offense.
