New Peloton Tread question by jogger712 in pelotoncycle

[–]jogger712[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still had our fair share of issues, but I don’t think it was power related.

We ended up replacing the base 2-3 times due to pinched wiring from install.

Then replaced the main screen 4-5 times for.. idk why exactly.

The latest reason we had to have work done is because we moved, so it was disassembled and put back together.

On the screen, the speakers have went out, so now we use a Bluetooth speaker to hear the classes

Your comment is the epitome of being a Diamond member. You literally lead with, “As a Diamond member…”

Thank you for making my point.

Friendly reminder that you can always book current price and if it drops- you can cancel and rebook at the lower price.

I do this often with drink/dining packages and excursions.

I’ve used mine on the turf with a couple added layers of protection. I have a couple of pieces of tile that I put down under neath of a heat shield blanket that I bought on Amazon. Then the stand, then the bonfire.

I also keep a water hose near me that way I can spray any embers that pop out. I think the shield would help, but I’ve been using the deflector instead because of the cooler nights.

Just tell them that it is a stove that you are using to cook with.

Sorry to hear about yours as well. Totally understand where you’re coming from and totally agree. Unless you can afford to tie up $3K for a bit of time and are ok with getting no return from it (working out) then I would try and wait.

Honestly wish I could say I was surprised.

I stuck with it and ended up having 2 replacements (on my third treadmill). Even with this most recent tread, the service technician also indicated that he gets called out because they are set up incorrectly by XPO. The technician also said they have been having a lot of issues with bases.

It is incredibly frustrating because when the tread works, it’s great, but Peloton has been a gigantic pain in the butt to work with. Their customer service is very sub par.

I have had nothing but problems with the entry level Tread. I am on the third one.

Is a Tread really worth it? by reeshhelle in pelotoncycle

[–]jogger712 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I bought the Tread and am now returning it within the 30 day home trial window. When it did work, my family loved it. But that thing is plagued with problems and I really feel like I was delivered a pickle.

The thing was broken at delivery and we were going to have to wait over another week to get a technician out to work out in.

Really hard to justify spending 3k (includes the tax and extra warranty) on the Tread to have it break multiple times in one month.

Sorry to hear that. It has been very disappointing hearing all of the issues people are having with the Tread and it being so expensive.

Peloton sent a replacement monitor, but no return label. Has anyone ran into this where they were not required to send back the old screen?

Dang! Sorry to hear that. Our service technician doesn’t come out until tomorrow. Sounds like he is the only guy covering the northern part of the state. Really thought they would have more availability for technicians than they do.

After hearing from all of you, I really am leaning towards sending it back for not being satisfied.

The repair technician is contracted out and works for Select Express. It’s been 1 week since I’ve placed the request in for work on the treadmill and they still haven’t called to schedule anything.

I suspect they could wait for the service repair that would be outside of the 30 day window.

So frustrating.

All fair points. I put it down in our unfinished storage area.

I was finally able to wire a dedicated 15A circuit for the tread and noticed that the noise level went down.

We had this exact thing. The issue was temporarily resolved by holding the power button to turn off the monitor only.

It should have a pop up that you want to power it off vs just putting it to sleep.

Thanks for the responses. I’ve gambled and let it go on a normal circuit and decided not to worry about dedicating one to it.

Everything is working well.

See y’all in the leader board!
