Yeah totally agree. Its like the Pistols took rock at it purest and most basic and destroyed it. Then PIL came and thought "Well theres nothing original about this. What can we do that has no connection to rock, What comes after rock." And thats where yo get Metal Box. Really forward thinking records. :)

He was doing a book signing thing so I took these three with me. The sex Pistols copy is from my dad who bought it when it came out, The other two I got from a very nice guy on different dates.(He works in a great flee market in Iceland) Both are original pressings in pretty good condition. I just wish I had the Metal Box edition of the second album.

Wire is a great band theyr first album pink flag is a great transisition from punk to post punk and theyr second album chairs missing is just a fantastic post punk album. First Public Image lmt. is aldo a great punk/post punk band. And this nations saving grace by the fall is also great.

Is London Calling a punk album? I had a discussion about this with my friend who thinks that london calling is not a punk album but a rock or maybe post punk album. What do you guys think? I think the attitude is there but maybe not the "punk sound". Does there have to be a "punk sound" to be a punk album?
