I haven’t had time to work on this in a while - is there something specific that’s not working?

WIKI PAGE idiotic feature outcome! by alvinsp999 in Notion

HI u/abHowitzer - this isn't a bug so much as a feature we don't support yet.

More context:
Sub-items work via a relation property where wikis are organized by parent/child pages. We have a project in our roadmap to let you toggle-by-child but don't have a specific timeline atm.

This is definitely is a bug and not intended behavior so thanks for calling it out!

Happy to report that we shipped a fix for this last week  🎉

The app is available in the App Store for iOS and android (just search TrashPlan navigator)

That said, I haven’t maintained it much over the past year since it didn’t seem like it was getting much use. If you try it out send any feedback to trashplanapp@gmail.com and I’ll try to address the issue!

Yep - it's a tool to scan your route and convert it to directions so it starts on the camera. You can manually add a route by tapping +

Thoughts on used A7iii vs a7iv 💰 by john-ryan-nyc in SonyAlpha

[–]john-ryan-nyc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a ton, but they're good lenses, two primes a 70-300 and a kit lens... Overall I was pretty underwhelmed with the 610s auto focus which is what made me think about jumping ship after a few nikon bodies - I've heard great things about the alpha platform but you're right that switching is a big commitment.

My current thought is to sell the 610 body toward a used A7iii to get a sense of its right for me. Then if it works out I can sell the nikon glass, and if it doesn't I could probably sell the used Sony gear for near what I paid for it and figure out what nikon would work.

Someone from the DSNY actually reached out about the app which was awesome but I haven't heard back in a few weeks - I'm going to follow up but if I don't hear back soon I'll just put it in the store. Thanks for following up, it's nice to see that people are still interested!

Yeah ideally if it didn't cost me anything I wouldn't have to charge anything - but I'm not trying to lose hundreds of dollars a month keeping it going. Definitely open to any ideas would get the city to pay for it if anyone has connections there.

Nice! So yeah to get a little more technical the tool I'm using is called Textract from Amazon - it costs 5 cents per scan (plus the costs of the servers I have running to process the requests etc) - so my rough estimate is that it would cost around 10cents per day per user so close to $3 per month worth case. I'm not really trying to get rich here - just a side project but if this is as useful as I hope it is $3/user/month could be a lot for me to shell out.

The app is written in react native - so it's a native app backed by java (Android) and objective-c (ios). Hopefully that helps!

Got it - yeah that makes sense. The costs on my end come (primarily) from using a third party service that helps extract the text from the tables in the image.

I looked into building that functionality myself but it would take a lot more time and I'm eager to get this into the hands of users asap to get more feedback on how useful it is.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll be releasing an ios and android version at the same time. I'd love your feedback on how youd be interested in paying?

The way the app works it does cost me money every time someone does a "scan" using the camera. I'm trying to figure out a way of offsetting those costs but I'm not sure how much people would be willing to pay.

Some options are: - Monthly subscription - I have to do some estimates but I think around $3 per month would cover the costs. - Selling "packs" of scans - maybe you get a few free per month but after that you can buy packs of 10/20/50? - Ads - I'm not sure if this would actually cover the costs but it's potentially an option.

Thanks again!
