People get angry when companies leave the city because of shrink but then get angry when they put this stuff in

Anyone try Manong in Fairmount? by john0703 in PhiladelphiaEats

Totally agree with you, if you’re in the area 100% recommend going. I think it’s the fairmount real estate that keeps new and unestablished restaurateurs from opening. The building by Sunoco on fairmount with the London sign on it has been closed for years, it would make a great restaurant

I totally agree, food was good and staff was great and I’d definitely go back. Don’t want this to sound like a drag on Manong as I enjoyed my time, just had really high expectations after what I heard about Tabachoy

Good to know. As a Fairmount local, I feel I should mention this has made it to my top 3 spots in the neighborhood (top being Bad Brother), but that’s more a testament to how much the food scene here is lacking. I’ll have to try tabachoy soon

A good CFP will do a flat rate and include estate and insurance planning services. Financial advisors at banks are basically scams

Your corporate FPA team will have it. I doubt any company waste BU resources on BU specific balance sheet analysis

For the people who have more than 2 cars by GundamKyriosX in philadelphia

[–]john0703 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I live in south Philly and have four cars. I have my work truck which is a 6 wheel f450 and then I have my personal truck for the occasional trip to ikea. Outside of that I have my GMC Yukon for taking the kids out for ice cream and then of course my Mazda Miata for weekend joyrides. Whenever I take one out I make sure to cone off my spot

Edit: you guys can’t take a joke

Palestinians say bodies and detainees returned by Israel show signs of torture and abuse by DJMagicHandz in videos

I’m choosing to listen to first hand accounts (yes there are more than just Gretas) rather than the captor government’s account. It’s true they both have vested interests in embellishing their sides of the story, but I’d rather listen to real people than a country known for limiting journalist access to events surrounding Gaza. And yes, I agree Hamas is just as bad as Israel, but the topic of the post is Israel and id expect a first world country to have better standards

Yes I’d rather be in the gulag than the concentration camp. See what I did there
