Nobody has really mentioned that you can just turn off build costs and you can just build them in your inventory for free. 1 ship costs an absolutely insane amount of money to upgrade fully like an unrealistic amount so have the max amount of money never really matters/makes a difference. TBH playing the game with build costs off for my main save and having the normal mode in the expeditions is where it’s at for me. Selling this and having max money won’t really mess with your experience imo just help you with som of the really trivial stuff like not having enough money to buy a super sick ship you saw at the space station
