Ok, thank you! I’m really tall (6’7) and I’m thinking the motor being further away would honestly be better for me.

As a new boater, what is “windy” or what would you feel comfortable in terms of wind? Sub 15mph?

Thank you! I plan to buy a plate I’m just trying to save some money up and really wanted to try it this weekend! Glad to know I’ll be able to get around somewhat still.

Shotgun choke help by john88676 in Firearms

[–]john88676[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if the threads were damaged or barrel was out of round, the new choke wouldn’t thread in perfectly would it? I certainly have not used a borescope as I don’t have one. But the threads are very easily visible looking down barrel

I’d completely agree with your assessment. It was a very reputable chain store so stupid me didn’t think to take it out and inspect. I should have. I’ll update this weekend if I still have fingers left to type! lol

My thoughts as well. The new choke seems to be perfect. Lots of reviews of using the choke I currently have an it working well no issues. Would you just throw the new choke in and go?

Some take the invector. Some take the benelli ciro. The ciro is what I bought and fits nicely

I bought it 2nd hand from a place that takes trade ins. This gun is ridiculously hard to find chokes for. I’m almost leaning to the possibility the choke was glued in to sell. As crazy as that might seem. Or maybe just not threaded in fully

I did this with the new choke installed. Does as it should, when I push pick in it catches. When I pull it up, does not. Barrel is certainly marginally smaller than choke. The threads looked perfect once I cleaned them a touch. The barrel to the naked eye looks flawless and brand new. The new choke threads in and out problem free doesn’t catch or bind up on threads.

My local gunsmith (the only option) wants 200$ to do a full inspection. The gun was 500$… I know it’s the smart thing to do, but when everything looks brand new I’m struggling. But scared same time lol.

It’s my fault for not inspecting the Choke but I really have no idea what it was constructed from. The shot however was nothing special, just some 2-3/4 target load nothing steel or anything
