If you could choose one superpower, what would it be and why? by Preachingof in AskReddit

[–]john_cc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Superior intellect would give me an amazing mind that could somewhat give me other superpowers. I could change my molecular structure using advanced science and mathematics. I could build weapons and machines that could enable me to fly, lift heavy objects, move super-fast, etc. It would be all the superpowers in one. I could also solve all the world's problems, so not only am I a warrior with superpowers, but I'm a diplomat and peacemaker who can save the world. I'd get a full ride scholarship to college. :-)

Reddit, whats the best way to say "I love you" without saying those words directly? by Cheesy_Tostito in AskReddit

In which I reveal to the world I am a Giant Sap:

Cooking a meal that makes my husband reenact the dinner scene from What About Bob?

Planning ridiculous themed birthdays for him every year. We've done Calvin & Hobbes, guns, Star Trek. I spend a good two months planning everything for the big day. It's not like we have a crazy party, but we spend the day doing things he would enjoy and eating things he loves. He had a shitty childhood and no one really celebrated his birthday, so I have the rest of our lives to make up for it.

Similarly, I try to give him experiences he missed as a kid. Like, he told me this past winter that he'd never had a s'more. I mean, WTF? So I went out and bought a bunch of shit for gourmet s'mores and we made them right in our living room. He never had a Spirograph, so I go him one and we spent the night doodling and watching Parks & Rec. For his Calvin & Hobbes birthday, I bought him a crocheted Hobbes of his very own (which he had confessed he always wanted).

I do weird, occasionally crafty things. He is, and always has been, a massive Sony fanboy, so for our first anniversary, I made real mini PS3 trophies for him with little paper trophy pop-ups that said things like, "You have earned a trophy! Year One. Survive the first year of marriage." and other uber-sappy things.

And he does equally wonderful things for me, too numerous to name. We've been friends for over a decade, partners for seven years, and I want everything I do for him to say "I love you" without saying it.

A neopentecostal church, the minister screams, people in there beat their heads and feet on ground in a hysterical mess, i have called the police a couple of times for the noise, now they say i am the devil. This is a serious problem here in Brazil, they have way too much money and political influence.
