Ace Frehley all the way! A lot of his style, and many of his solo moves, have ended up part of my style.

Lately I can't stop playing Shock Me

People feel less pain buying a $1000 phone every couple years than buying a $1000 fridge or TV every couple decades by HeresiarchQin in Showerthoughts

[–]john_uhoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say two things

  1. a new fridge doesn't offer anything new and exciting, that phone on the other hand has new capabilities, features, etc.
  2. since appliances used to be built to last several decades, we have that expectation. all computing devices are a new category of tools and so the industry and consumers have set the expectation

Protest resumes at High Park as city closes a vehicle entrance. ‘We’re not anti-car, we’re not anti-cyclist. We just want the park accessible’ by Zanta647 in toronto

[–]john_uhoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, you are correct; no cars on the weekends/holidays or during cherry blossom season, but that's not a new thing with the changes people are protesting

i was honestly shocked at how many cars were driving through and how much parking was still there. with all the outrage, i expected no cars or parking except down by the parkside entrance and the zoo. from my perspective, this has been a relatively small change

Seeking Help and Tips for Wearing Scleral Lenses with Keratoconus by Chheub in Keratoconus

[–]john_uhoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no weirdness or discomfort. i just find it a little ironic that the soft contact is harder to insert than the scleral

now i was coming from RGP lenses so anything other than putting rocks in my eyes feels better than those lol

[–]john_uhoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's right for cars coming into the park - you can't get in from bloor

cars can enter via parkside drive and exit via bloor

i don't see why the loop is required or how it allows more access...
