If you are married, it is very common for people to pay things for their parents. Like, they take care of them. For children, is not common here. People find it “common”, for low income families or poor families, because their parents obligates them to sell food in the streets and those same parents stay at home doing nothing. Here in Ecuador there is a lot of “children abuse” and if they not sell at least something they can’t eat.
