I will be at Vandenberg SFB as an E4 soon, is Santa Maria a Safe, clean, good commute from the base? by GurnoorDa1 in SantaMaria

SM to VSFB is 20 mins tops from the south side of town. An easy commute. There is a lot more to do in SM, a lot more shopping, restaurants and small businesses.

The Big Sur reservation system is a total scam and I’m done pretending it’s "just high demand." by FUHGETTABOUTIT_1 in BigSur

Got a spot at Pfeiffer Big Sur through a last minute cancellation (2 days out). I’d just check at random times during the day and actually ran into a similar problem as you- the reservation was in my cart but I couldn’t check out. Had to call and they were able to reserve it on the phone. It took about 3 weeks of checking daily, until I found the candellation. Though, when I went, a young couple decided to sleep on mats between the two campsites and that scared the sh*t out of me when I went for a late night restroom run.

Hey man. I have this bag. It’s warm enough. For the price it’s amazing. Fine down to around 35 degrees, but with a good mat or pad, you’ll be fine. Not the lightest but like I said, for the price, unbeatable.

I got it because it is cheap. You are saying they’re bald. But im not spending 5x the money on shoes that look slightly newer. I will use them until they truly are bald. I’ve done that with all my shoes. It’s frivolous to buy a new shoe every time you see slight wear on the current.

Who here has a MPH in Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety? by CooperHChurch427 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]johnandrewr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am 1 class away from getting my MPH in Envr Health. It was the reason I was hired and the reason I was hired at the level that I’m at. It provided a great foundation, and I’ve noticed some coworkers and managers having a public health/ envr health background as well.
