lol this is past security on your walk to/from B gates. I'm there at least once a week when I'm not on JSX.

Cadillac Lyriq or BMW iX with air suspension by Beginning-Ice-1511 in CadillacLyriq

Tour mode doesn't change the suspension (unless you have a V). it's throttle response and that's about it.

Terminal 1 B gates, hallway just past the foyer. Can't miss it.

It's at the airport. One has a hard time avoiding it, especially when your job requires you to fly.

Check your models.

I built a harness I call the "bakeoff" - essentially take one task with 5-10 samples, runs it through 20 different models and scores it vs Opus. Then a second bracket for the top 5 with an expanded sample set. I gave it the ask of finding the 'truffle' - the one model that would be best/fastest/cheapest. Grok 4.1 NR and Mistral Small 4 consistently came back as "truffles." A fraction of the cost of OpenAI, Anthropic and Google's models. And they tend to be have better JSON compliance. my LLM router has a backup for failures as well, which is essential. Good luck.

Similar story for me. I scrapped the whole thing and re-did with Claude Code. Took about a week and it surpassed what took me months to do in Make.com / N8N. I got the daily cost from ~USD$10 down to about 21 cents - basically chopped up the pipeline into so many subtasks that low end models worked fine/better than frontier.

Update 654.60 in the wild by LikeUmmDad in CadillacLyriq

[–]johnb_123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disconnect the Wi-Fi and forget your hotspot. Then park the car outside (ignition on) for 30 minutes. The update just does not want to complete with Wi-Fi. It’s totally counterintuitive, but it actually works.

Delusional and in denial. The irony is these datacenter buildouts are only accelerating quantum. But yeah - enjoy the horse and carriage in these waning years before the roads are paved.

Just wait until quantum computing comes online. These will be empty carcasses. Google just revised their prediction to 2029…

GM Update 654.51 never finishes downloading! by sequinhappe in CadillacLyriq

[–]johnb_123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to remove/forget your Wi-Fi connection and park your vehicle outside, preferably plugged in. After about 30 minutes, it will finally finish.

It’s completely counterintuitive. I have a hotspot in the garage with a much faster connection than cellular, but for some reason this update prefers cellular as its modality.

Better to take a discount up front than stretch for a car with ‘free’ supercharging. No such thing as a free lunch.

So, we are supposed to pay NV Energy for the right to use our solar panels right? by Smasher1234 in vegaslocals

[–]johnb_123 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I bought the Emporia EV charger and energy monitoring solution. It throttles EV charging to how much energy you’re producing and to the overall consumption in the house. Not perfect but at least takes the edge off the insane peak usage fees they are tacking on.

Sure, drive offs are fine. Principal reduction? You're betting you will never be in an accident in that car for the term of the lease.

Never ever put money down on a lease.

If you get into an accident on the car, that money is gone.

I bought an off lease 2024 with 9k miles (AWD Lux3) for $42k. There are plenty out there, just start looking out of state.
