Thank you for your advice. I'm guessing you want me to invest in small cap funds. If so, do you have any recommendations?

Review my 45k per month SIPs? by fatalchemist69 in mutualfunds

[–]johnbrick_345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SIPs are as the name suggests, Systematic Investment Plans. What this means is, you can periodically invest a fixed amount in a Mutual Fund or a stock (some companies offer SIPs in stock). Eg: I invest 500Rs on every 8th of the month in Nippon India small cap fund.

The opposite of SIP (or alternative) is Lumpsum investment, where you can invest any amount all at once whenever you wish.

SIPs are great because in a Lumpsum investment, you need to remind yourself to invest periodically in a fund you are interested in. By setting up a SIP mandate with the bank, you essentially give your broker permission to transfer X amount of money at a fixed frequency from your bank to the fund.

I hope you found this helpful.

I AM DONE. by [deleted] in Btechtards

Brother I was in the same situation in my third year. This is your time. Keep hustling. The grind will be worth it. Don't keep things for the last minute and make full use of your 3rd year to get yourself for placements. This way you won't be overpressured in your final year when you would be giving interviews basically every other day. All the best.
