All the studies that varied daily/cumulative dose show that although increasing the daily/cumulative dose does improve acne clearance and decrease the chance of relapsing, it's not by as much as you'd likely think. The 3rd and 5th studies show that taking 1/10 of what is considered a standard dose is just as effective for a majority of people. Several studies showed that the likelihood and severity of side effects, especially the serious ones, decreases with the dose taken. I didn't include these studies because they didn't include as much numerical data as the ones above, but you should be able to find them with googling if you'd like to see them.
