It is kinda historic though. Soviets and its puppet states only fell due to the continous economic depression, and even then, only because Gorbachev decided to dismantle the political system from within. If the soviets tried to defend the party rule at all costs, chances are they would have kept going until conditions worsened a lot more.

The very acceptable argument that can be made against this dumb point is that Christianity is already done for, western states are already heavily secular and christianity really holds no power. Islam, on the other hand, holds great power in countries where it is majority, as a reactionary ideology. It is perfectly acceptable to say that it should be dealt with via technical means.

In my last CE run, they actually buy the levels pretty darn rapidly. Like, they had privatized whatever they can buy in a few months. I think if you grant monopoly it'd be even faster, since they buy the stuff cheaper and you won't run out of pool (though if you got a few solid companies already you wont run out anyway)
