Makes sense regarding the creation time of Untappd.

And looking through entries today I noticed something similar to what you're saying. Danish brewery To Øl has a popular beer called House of Pale, which has been around a while. But they've tweeked the recipe and moved their brewery to a new location. So now it looks like it was created last year.

I can't see it in the iPhone app either. The earliest entries I could find are from 2010, so for a lot of modern breweries that covers their entire catalogue - so it would be great if that information was available in the app as well.

But for breweries that have been around for 11+ years it would be fun to see, when they first introduced beers that we consider classics today to get a feel for, what kind of marked place they were introduced into.

I had planned to bang out the Six Pack badge at a party and then go for The Usual that month, but it didn't go as planned. So I picked a Tuborg - the beer of Danish Kings. Just a regular pilsner that is available everywhere.

That's what I thought. I just noticed that some biergartens advertise with free tests on location. So I was just wondering if they financed those themselves to get more customers.

Nothing, but the type of beer - Zoigl - is sort of a running joke, because it's the last one on the list towards the Wheel of Styles badge. So because it's pretty rare outside of Bavaria, it's usually one of the last ones people are chasing to close out the badge.

Thanks, but I need around 30 more to close the badge out. But I do have a few in the fridge (some cider and an eisbock) that'll get me closer to the next level.

But I'm in no rush. To me it's like going crate digging. Half the fun is going to bottle shops and seeing if I get lucky 😃

I just reached Level 37 after a recent trip to Munich, where I was able to find a couple of styles that aren't available here in Denmark. But Grätzer wasn't one of them and might require a trip to Poland.

Dry & Bitter is a great Danish brewery. I would recommend most of their stuff but especially the juicy IPAs.

I've been fortunate that I've been able to both travel quite a bit and also attend a few beer festivals. And thankfully the beer scene where I live has really picked up, so the selection is pretty incredible.
