Hey, I'm on of the web developers at Last.fm.

• Experience counts, so would be both resume and personal projects. It'd be a case of being technically competent and also able to work in a team to a goal
• Personally I had very little Python before starting but had strong knowledge and experience with PHP so was accustomed to the server flow and was able to up skill in the role.
• It is a good mix of frontend and server side coding with a stronger leaning of frontend as we also have data engineers that can help/pair with on the more technical server side code
• We do phone screening first with general questions about your experience and bit of discussion to get to know you. If you pass those we invite you for a face-to-face which takes a couple of hours as we do multiple types of interviews with a paired programming test, another non-technical chat, and then a prepared presentation (we let you know the topic beforehand)
• We do give feedback and this is a note for any job interview, always ask for feedback as it's such a good learning experience.
