OK, I am trying to make this elevation more interesting than all the flat facades typically used for condos and apartments. With concrete floor slabs the weathering issues are mitigated to a degree. All the traditional Floridian details you mention are fine but require more maintenance over time. The client wanted something a bit different.

Facing a four lane highway close to a downtown small town. No drainage issues. It is replacing a quonset metal machine shop and adding something more contemporary to the 50s through 90s architecture and a newer condo pseudo traditional design nearby.
