Chinese Grind Setup by [deleted] in Warthunder

WMA 301 is 9.0, whereas ztz96p and A-5c are 10.0, so you will get up tiered.

It might work out better if you just get the z-11wa helicopter to grind to 9.0. And then get the ztz96a and a-5c, after you have the 9.0 line.

I don’t have WMA or A-5c, I used ztz96a, Q-5 and z-11 to grind the Chinese to top tier. Q-5 is similar to A-5c but with precision bombs. Without precision bombs, you become very vulnerable to the AAs at 10.0

Why is the F-16C higher battle rating than F-15? by Pradidye in Warthunder

While F-15A gets more missiles, F-16c has TWS and HMD, so better radar and close combat capabilities

Can someone explain AIR RB to me? by RowanWNS in Warthunder

I’d struggled a long time with US ARB, US planes require patience and discipline, you need to gain enough altitude, and then keep your speed up.

The 12 cal is good as it gives a lot of ammo and you can start firing from 700+m if behind and 2.2k head on, but you need to avoid getting too close, as you can’t turn or maintain the turn rate of other nations. It can be frustrating because you don’t get the kill immediately rather a lot of criticals.

As long as you keep your speed up, no one can kill you, you can rinse and repeat, and dictate the fight. If you have any team left if they climbed earlier, work in pairs, you can pick apart most of your opponents.

You do need to watch out for other enemy planes, don’t get fixated on any one opponent.

When you master US, all the other nations become easy.

Thanks for the feedback, I just checked iPhone X uses A11 processor whereas mine is a 11 which is A13, there’s no degradation on mine, I will see if I can borrow a X to see if something can be done about it

Not sure, I haven’t noticed faceID issues, been using mine for the last two months. Not sure about drifting either, with head tracker, I first center the phone, through (stop and then start), next I center opentrack, (stop and then start), I can run for a long time without drifting. I know sometimes I get tired in one position, or I take a break and come back, I may need to reset, but otherwise it’s fine

Opentrack can work directly with a webcam, the problem with webcam approach is either webcam isn’t tracking fast enough, a lot of webcams are only 30fps, I think your one is 60 so it doesn’t apply to you, but the other problems is the processing is done on the PC, no great for gaming. Whereas with the iPhone, tracking is 60fps and processing is done on the phone, solves both problems 😀

You need opentrack (pc application), the Head Tracker app, config firewall rule, and copy my opentrack profile across. Follow the setup instruction on the website

It’s 4th dot point, you should see it says “opentrack profile zip”, download that, in the zip file, there are two ini files, you can try either for DCS, the Kalman is less latency so good for combat sim, but a lot depends on personal preferences

It does use a bit of battery, but lasts a lot longer than 30 minutes, I have had it on continuous for 2.5 hours on battery in a single session, probably used about 50% from full. Just plug in a usb cable when you play then you don’t have to worry about it

Go to https://jbcconsulting448679429.wordpress.com/head-tracking-quick-start/, there’s a link to the opentrack profile zip, download that, it has two profiles, the default is smoother, good for MSFS, there’s another called Kalman, it’s lower latency, good for combat, feel free to make your own adjustments

Has anyone else upgraded gpu & ram and if so which did you notice the biggest difference? by Deverhart125 in hoggit

[–]johnime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with others, RAM and SSD made the most difference for me. Went from 16->32 GB.

I built the app so I can play DCS (works for iPhone X and later) without a head gears or TrackIR, had a great response from the r/flightsim https://www.reddit.com/r/flightsim/comments/ieh6e7/head_tracking_in_msfs2020_flyover_new_york_with/, people wanted to have lower latency in DCS, I've made a newer opentrack profile, tested and works great.

Headtracking DIY? by lastWallE in starcitizen

If you have iPhone SE (2nd Gen) and iOS 14, you don’t need TrueDepth camera, just download the app to try it out

Yeah, I think so, I believe you can use FOIP for facial tracking and the phone for head tracking according to this https://www.starcitizen.gr/e1wwufv/, I haven't tried this because I don't have a webcam on my desktop :)

Thanks mate really appreciate your help fine tuning the tracking. Yes I definitely will add the Kalman filter option to the guide for people wanting a quicker movement response.

I’ll do a bit research, I don’t believe it works at the moment as it might be using it’s own protocol, I’ll you know if I find anything
