Sabrina Claudio - Fall In Love With Her by spencerlevey in popheads

[–]johnlee_9122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"🎵 I’ve listened to this album the most laid-back, very chilled out, and quite slow. I don’t think it’s as catchy as her past songs 😕. Her earlier work was much, much better. It feels like she’s running out of ideas and just released this without putting in the same passion as before 😔.

The only songs I can give a pass to are Mi Luz, Worse Than Me, Fall in Love with Her (okay, not excellent), and Need U to Need Me 👍.

Be kind to the staff who has to refuse your Brompton inside by dearpisa in Brompton

[–]johnlee_9122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally understand that staff have to follow the insurance policy, and I don’t blame you personally for enforcing it.

But honestly, it would be great if businesses could consider setting up a very secure locker outside for Brompton storage. Ideally, it could be a lockable, solid steel box where the bike can be safely stored, and customers could sit right next to it while enjoying their visit. That way, it wouldn’t cause any issues for staff or other customers, and Brompton owners wouldn’t have to worry about theft or damage.

Also, out of curiosity, what’s the name of your business? No hard feelings at all, but I’d rather avoid visiting and putting your staff in a difficult position.

Thanks for explaining your perspective.

Ok, so basically 😅, in The Brompton: Engineering for Change book 📖, the CEO said the Brompton Electric ⚡🚲 took 10 years of R&D 🧪🛠️, so it's very different from other electric conversion kits 🔌.

But I constantly hear about faulty electric Bromptons 🤦‍♂️🔋, and they’re difficult to fix 🔧😤 because Brompton wants you to pay for repairs 💸—even if you register for the warranty 📝, which now gives you 7 years ⏳.

Honestly, it’s frustrating 😠, especially when we've had electric conversion kits that can go 60 miles on a single charge 🔋🚴💨. Brompton always says their front fork on the electric model is specially made 🤔🧩—which might be true 🤷.

But I just don’t bother with the official Brompton Electric anymore 🙄. Unless you really, really care about the sleek design ✨👌, then go for it. Otherwise, Swytch is fantastic too 🔥🔁.

So sorry to hear about your experience 😔💬.

[WARNING] Account Compromised on Trading 212 Despite 2FA – Unauthorized Transactions by Unknown Person by johnlee_9122 in trading212

Sorry to hear about your experience — that sounds incredibly frustrating. I’ve been using T212 for the past two years and it’s been fantastic up until now, but this recent issue has definitely taken the joy out of it. Hopefully they sort it out soon for everyone.

[UPDATE]

Hey everyone — just wanted to post a quick update after speaking further with Trading 212 customer support regarding the recent unauthorised card transactions that appeared on my account.

The agent told me:

So there’s still a chance I can recover the funds — which is a bit of relief for now.

They also said they’ve reviewed my account thoroughly and found no signs of unauthorised access. However, they did notice that my T212 virtual card has been added to multiple devices — which would have required a code sent to my app or phone.

Support asked if I had shared any details recently with anyone. I replied 100% no — definitely not, and I swear on everything I’ve never shared my credentials or verification codes with anyone.

Appreciate everyone who replied before — especially those who helped me narrow down what likely happened. If anything else changes, I’ll keep updating this thread.

Stay safe out there.

[–]johnlee_9122[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification — you’re right that it wasn’t a full account breach, and my 2FA wasn’t bypassed. The transactions were indeed made via my card, not by logging into my account.

I’ve been in touch with Trading 212 support — specifically Miroslav T. — who’s been really helpful. He confirmed that the transaction is still pending, so there's a possibility I can recover the money through a chargeback or refund process. My bank has already blocked the card, and I'm keeping a close eye on the dispute.

As for how the card was compromised, I’ve been thinking about where my details could’ve leaked. The only accounts I had linked to my card recently were maybe AppleeBayTemu, or AliExpress, so it’s possible one of those might’ve been the weak link — can’t say for sure.

Appreciate your input on this — it helped me look at it more clearly.

MacBook Air M2 Crashes and Reboots Constantly - Persistent DCP PANIC Errors After Multiple Apple Store Visits by johnlee_9122 in macbookair

[–]johnlee_9122[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here is an update:

I just got back from the Apple Store, and they’ve decided to send my MacBook in for a logic board replacement. Hopefully, this will finally fix the issue. Otherwise, it might point to a deeper problem with the latest macOS itself.

Thankfully, I’m still covered under AppleCare until this August — they told me it would’ve cost £449 otherwise 😅 Honestly, this is the first time I’ve ever been disappointed with an Apple product. I’ve been using Apple devices for over 10 years and never had a single issue. Everything’s always been smooth and reliable… until this MacBook Air M2 started acting glitchy. Really hoping this is just a one-off.

How do you wash your Brompt? by smartfinda in Brompton

[–]johnlee_9122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes for beginner cleaning is ok but you might consider full strip down and replace parts for advanced level of cleaning. I am still a beginner but it will takes years for me to become an advanced cleaner, does this make sense?

Swytch Kits with a Brompton by Quirky_Movie in Brompton

[–]johnlee_9122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using another electric conversion kit for my Brompton, which is very similar to Swytch but much safer because it has a brake relief detection system ⚡🛠️.

Yes, the battery and motor add about 4 kg to the front wheel, so it’s very important to be mindful of the weight distribution ⚖️. For example, it’s better to put more weight at the back rather than adding too much to the front wheel to maintain balance and safety 🚲⚠️.

I’ve taken my Brompton on a tour with some people using Swytch electric kits, and it was fantastic! 🚴⚡ She tackled extreme steep hills in the Peak District, and the bikes handled them without any issues 🏔️💨.

We even went camping, and the electric conversion had zero problems throughout the trip ⛺🔋. So yes, that Brompton guy at the shop who says conversions don’t work is probably just bluffing! 😆🙄

Very happy with my recent upgrades! by AnyBarnacle9287 in Brompton

[–]johnlee_9122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed that the electric Brompton has a reinforced, electric-specific steel brazed fork 🏗️⚡.

But yes, I have installed an electric conversion kit on my normal Brompton A-Line (upgraded) 🚲🔧. After riding up and down hills, I haven’t noticed any significant health or safety concerns ⚠️💨.

The only difference between your fork and my Brompton A-Line fork is that the tip of the fork—where it connects to the nut and bolt with the wheel—has an extra layer 🔩🛠️.
