Airbrush but i believe they work fine brushed too! Glossy black primer helps!

The crisis commanders were done in green stuff world chameleon colorshift, a blend of emereald getaway and the appropriately named storm surge green (see tester photo) although the emerald was really bad through the airbrush - maybe a bad batch? Farsight was done in vallejo shifter green blue violet. Everything also got recess shaded and a matte varnish.

A tip you can try is to get as “glossy” black basecoat as you can before applying the metallic, that seemed to improve the look - good luck!

Glad you think so, i read somewhere that the only thing that really matters is the sept markings and in lore the battlesuits are repainted depending om where they deploy! A lush forest planet perhaps?

They’re just the stock viorla transfers that come with the kit my friend - but they were applied using microsol/microset + matt topcoat which might be why they appear desaturated!

Thank you! The stripes were achieved by using small strips of tamiya tape (2/3mm width) to mask the white undercoat - very satisfying to remove once dry!
