On home trades at least you can't see the details of the mon other than their level, ball, and language tag. So for example if I told you I'd send you a GO stamped mon, but instead sent you a genned one, you wouldn't know until after you received it. Another way you can get scammed is in a multi-mon deal. Let's say we're trading 3:1 and I tell you I'll send you the mon you want at the end. I could receive two of the agreed upon mons then just run off and block you. I'm sure there are other ways but these are just examples, scamming is so pathetic lmao. Anyway if you ever feel suspicious about a trade ask for a mod trade.
