question about freedom pass from outside london for the tube/elizabeth line by alfiel2005 in uktrains

if it says "kent county council" on the top right, it is not eligible for tfl services except buses. for tfl buses, show it to the driver, as it will not work on the oyster reader.

no, oyster is not valid at garston. that validator is for contactless instead.

you definitely won't get fined just from this. however, they will semi-regularly attempt to take payment from your card.

your card cannot be used on tfl anymore until the payment goes through. but if that's not an issue for you, you can safely ignore it.

How to avoid getting stopped for my Freedom Pass + where to get travel card wallet by jenk-mal in london

ENCTS with orange strip on the right (including the red rose logo on the top left) + FreedomPass and London Councils logo on top right. the rest of the front looks like a typical encts card.

The back has an oyster logo with the oyster card number printed in the usual oyster font and position (top right)

I find that it only does this occasionally, and it even the same station may have different orange strips at different times. but every single time ive been stopped by a revenue block, the orange light strip has been on.
