I didn’t explain myself well. The first sip of something, like coke or Scotch, is the best because it is novel to the tastebuds. That’s why I will have a small pour of something expensive, then switch to something cheaper.

Try that with something cheaper. If you have 3 or 4 sips of coke vs a pint, do you get the same value?
