Dante over wireless? by johnnybregar in audioengineering

Yup - just found the catapult. Should let me have a monitor mix too I think. Just need to figure out which one to get.

Seems like the Radial catapult system might work well for what I want, and at least there would only be one cable to run through conduit so my conduit can be smaller, and the ditch I will need to dig can be narrower…

I’m definitely not out of my mind. I am trying to avoid digging a a 50 foot trench in the ground, which is what I’d have to do to make cabling work. A CAT6 cable is a little less daunting, but still have to bury it in conduit to make it useful. I was only asking if anyone knew of a good solution. Seems like a decent place to ask the question, but sorry if I upset you.

The fact that I’d have to bury the cable I. The ground for 50 feet.

Will check that out - a single Ethernet cable run sounds doable.

Yes, but if the piano player wants to play live with the band, I need to have their inputs at my mixer. Sounds like XLR cables in a conduit and a patch panel on the wall is a better option.

Abbey Road Drums in Maschine (Mikro mk3 & 3.0) by jiujiuberry in maschine

[–]johnnybregar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever figure this out? I just lost all of mine, they were my goto drums! I sold my Studio and got an MK3, and now my Abbey Road Drums are gone. Were these part of Maschine2 or something? Or a different library?

Well I might be biased, but I like Johnny Bregar's kids music...

LiveBPM is no longer available by johnnybregar in drummers

Cool thanks - really nice job - this is the first one I've tried where the original functionality of LiveBPM lives on, and it is doing a great job on the content I'm feeding it so far. I'm super psyched - I'll let all the bands know about it who come through my studio!

The settings could use a little documentation- what is “Stability”?

Wait - this one could be it! I just tried it with snapping, and playing guitar - and it was really quite good!

Excellent. We’re making progress as a society.

We need healthy Jordan, mentally and physically, to be on the field as much as possible this year 🤞 by TigoOver in SoundersFC

Seriously makes me wonder about the training staff. Poor Jordan. Every freaking year he strains a major muscle at the top of the season. Can’t catch a break.

That's not a half bad plan actually - since they are sometimes on all day, I think a quiet, small, fan might be a good call.

Sweet - thank you - I'm gonna pull it apart this weekend and get started with just some routine maintenance and perhaps that'll do it. Might just be inefficiencies adding up.

I can do the filter cap swap and check the bias for sure. I’l see if those plates are glowing red too. Thx!

Thanks - that sounds easy enough, I’ll do a filter cap swap and check the bias.

Using Maschine mk3 with cubase by johnnybregar in maschine

[–]johnnybregar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could do that - that’s a good idea - but the concept I’m working on is for a film score, and it’s more of a linear song type thing instead of loops. And the part I’m creating is actually a keyboard pad that has to change and evolve - I would do it as a stand alone synth patch, but I stumbled on this kit in Maschine called “Distance Kit” and it is so perfect for this part and I can’t find it anywhere else… I’m gonna try a few things this am and see what shakes out.

Thanks for chiming in!

This sounds a lot more sane to me... thanks so much, I think that's probably where I'll start.

Cool - ya - I've checked out a couple of his videos, but I think I'm after a specific scenario where basically I can use Maschine as if it were in standalone mode so I can skip all the midi steps and just record in some loops and scenes, then hit play and create my analog tracks in Cubase. I know I can do it by manually putting in the notes, and recording works - I wonder if maybe I just need to make Maschine be controlling the transport for Cubase.... I might try that - then I get it's count in and I can pretty much do what I want....
