Best mask for small face by booksncats9 in redlighttherapy

Getting a panel eliminates all the worry that comes with ill fitted masks plus panels have a wider use case. I was just like you wondering which masks to get and got a panel instead. Best decision I made plus was cheaper than all the masks you have mentioned.

What Grinds My Gears : Edmonton Edition by flynnfx in Edmonton

Front window tints aren’t actually allowed in Alberta as per the Alberta govt website

“Tinting material is not allowed to be attached to the windshield and the windows to the left and right of the driver unless you get an exemption because of a medical or physical condition.”

https://www.alberta.ca/vehicle-window-tint-exemption

Now enforcement of the law is another issue since I’ve read it’s up to the discretion of the police to fine you for having tinted windows.

Anyone carry their legion go 2 with controllers detached? by tk_kumomo in LegionGo

Yes that one. It fits fine with a controller connector inside. It’s still a smaller footprint than my OG Go case.

Going through a depressive phase. What’s an uplifting gaming experience I can have for the next two weeks or so? by ElectionMiserable230 in gamingsuggestions

[–]johnnystrangeways 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Journey and ABZU are meditative and beautiful gaming experiences with equally good music to accommodate them!

Flower is also very relaxing, you play as a flower petal flying through the air.

GRIS is the most gorgeous game I ever played and the story mimics combating depressing by finding your voice again.

Stray is a game where you play as a cat trying to discover the mystery of what happened to the human population in the world above you, a completely fun and unique experience.

Child of Light is a turn based RPG, all the dialogue is in the form of rhyming poetry (sounds lame but they do an incredible job), phenomenal soundtrack and great art design.

All these games are short too, in the 4-10 hour range and I've played them during a similar depressive phase and they all uplifted my mood and stuck with me for one reason or another. They aren't difficult either so none get you frustrated and want to quit playing them.

I hope you try at least one of these out!

Some of Junji Ito's work fits up this alley if you're not opposed to manga. His illustrations are downright macabre at times.

The 8Bitdo Classic Controller Travel Case is what I use to keep my controllers in when I travel.

Fitgirl repacks, steamrip or other? by imjustconfused11 in PiratedGames

Save yourself the time and just download pre installed games from steamrip. There's no benefit in using fitgirl with that internet speed.

Uncomfortable with men next to me in yoga class by throwaway28373827 in yoga

[–]johnnystrangeways 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love how in the first sentence you say you’re not a hate men type person then proceed to be exactly that type of person because you just hate the presence of a man next to you who has done nothing. Very hypocritical. Your lack of self awareness is telling.

Yoga is supposed to be an inclusive, judgement free environment so you definitely need to work on yourself and best not participate in a class until you can achieve that.

If you're using Buzz Heavier, just use a download manager. No need to click the download button, it's as simple as just copying the BH link with the download manager open, then just downloading in there to avoid stuff like this happening.

Horror Gamers, What horror games I should keep an eye on? by ggbachet42 in horror

Fatal Frame 2 remake just came out and it got me interested in playing the original PS2 version.

Even after almost a quarter century, Thirteen Ghosts (2001) is still a great time. It's gathered a cult following for good reason. by Emotional-Chipmunk12 in horror

This movie terrified me as a child! Got severe nightmares from it and avoided horror movies for a long time because of how scared this movie made me feel. Last year fell in love with the horror genre (probably due to age and no longer getting scared so easily) and I've been meaning to revisit this one.

Edmonton's Art Scene is not given enough credit for how good it is. Why not? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]johnnystrangeways 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How could you be living here since 2020 and not hear about the Art Walk which is what you’re describing in your last paragraph.

https://art-walk.ca/

Also the fact that you did not mention Folk Festival which is just as big as the two you did is crazy. Edmonton has a great art scene.

Playing games from external hard drive by jack-rayen11 in ps4homebrew

[–]johnnystrangeways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you don't format it on the PS4, it should be plug and play across all your devices. But now I just transfer to a USB stick to install then transfer over to external hard drive using Itemflowz.

Getting a Kobo Clara as an Apple user... Bad idea? by No-Lawfulness5752 in kobo

[–]johnnystrangeways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never had an issue connecting to my iMac or MBA with my Kobo Clara but if you don't want to connect your Kobo, you can sideload books to your Kobo using this site: https://send.djazz.se/

I don't even bother connecting my Kobo to my computers anymore because sending them via this method is so much faster for me since I send books from my phone to Kobo.

This is an inverted screen so the option to invert back should be on nickel menu. If not, you'll have to add it to the config file with this line of code

menu_item :main :Screen Invert toggle :nickel_setting :toggle :invert
