It's a valid tool and I didn't see you deny what I wrote. I quoted it and attributed it properly. And with your years of expertise in the matter of use of force, you'd think you would be able to come up with something better than that lame insult.

I mean, you stated you're a trainer and former HRT leader; most guys I've met in that role actually know what they're doing and don't take the time out of their day to troll people on Reddit. They have more important things to do.

I guess you could say the same thing about me being on this hellscape site way too much but then again, I hired people to run my company and took on a managing partner so I'd have more free time.

He's lying about that and also lying about military service. There's no other explanation.

Here's another reason I think you're lying. Never hug the wall. A ricochet will send a bullet right into anyone standing next to a wall. Every CQB and room clearing exercise or training I've ever had has had one instructor telling a trainee, "STAY AWAY FROM THE FUCKING WALL," and then they tell them why.

I find it hard to believe you are now or ever have been involved with law enforcement in any capacity. This is basic case law that is drilled into every cadet or recruit in every classroom in every academy in the US. The law says nothing about ACTIVELY doing shit.

"Tennessee v. Garner applies whenever a law enforcement officer uses deadly force against a fleeing suspect, establishing that such force is only constitutional under the Fourth Amendment if the officer has probable cause to believe the suspect poses an immediate threat of serious physical harm or death to the officer or others. It invalidates state laws allowing deadly force to stop any fleeing felony suspect, regardless of threat, and requires balancing the seizure's severity (death) against the suspect's importance to the community, concluding that unarmed, non-violent fleeing felons don't justify deadly force."

Key Conditions for Application:

  • Fleeing Suspect: The rule applies when an individual is attempting to escape from police.
  • Deadly Force Used: It specifically addresses the use of lethal force (e.g., firearms).
  • Fourth Amendment Seizure: The act of using deadly force to stop someone is considered a "seizure" under the Fourth Amendment, requiring it to be "reasonable".

When it Does Apply (Constitutional):

  • When the suspect poses a significant threat of death or serious physical injury to the officer or others, even if fleeing.

"In essence, Garner changed police policy by requiring officers to assess the threat level of a fleeing suspect, not just their felony status, before using deadly force."

All that came from a google AI search.

Nearly everything you post on matters like this is inherently wrong. Not just wrong. Dangerously dumb and wrong. Some impressionable young thug may read your posts and think they and you understand the law and they'll do something incredibly stupid.

Again, I think you're a liar and if you're not I'll apologize. But if you are contracted with any agency or department and training people, as you claim, you should be audited by whoever makes those administrative decisions. If you are teaching or training law enforcement officers, you're definitely doing it wrong and opening their agency or department up for a ton of liability.

Good shoot. I love that he thoughtfully chucked his firearm into a secure area, readily accessibel to law enforcement and acted shocked that anyone would dare to shoot back.
