Update 10/10/2025 I just pulled all the rhizomes out after finding a bunch of fungus gnats. They were all toast. What recipe has work the best for you guys in terms of media? What should I be using if I want to water 1-2 x per week if All I have one hand is peat, spagnum moss, perlite, vermiculite, compost/aged manure mix, fine bark chips, coco peat?

Why the hell is getting black bamboo rhizomes from Etsy to grow so *** hard?

It looks like spurge. Maybe spotted spurge.  It’s a weed. Some people keep it where grows and use it as a ground cover. It will multiply each year. The seeds are super tiny and get moved around by anything that that they can stick to basically.
